Hay Mark, I have no clue what the tube thing is sticking out of the LR. But I have them all over my 55Gal, some r short and some long, none over 1/4" long. I thought they was just part of the L/R, Do I need to be concern?
thanks
Anything that you didnt put in your tank is a potential concern if you dont know what it is. Id ask around and maybe post the pic in the hitchhikers forum. You never know. Could be harmless, but it could be harmful. I was thinking bristleworm, but it doesnt really look like one. Not sure.
Mark
Im not the person to ask about this, Im not good with hitch hikers, really. But Im thinking either a peanut worm or a species of Capitellidae after a quick search. Im not too sure though. Sorry.

1) Open Paint.
2) Open the picture.
3) use the pencil tool to draw a line around whatever you want.
4) Save the picture.
5) close paint.
theres a free program called photofiltre thats really good also and it has shape features so you dont have to do it freehand. Paint might also. Its been years since ive used paint.
Mark
I saved the pic to my computer, opened the program, then opened the pic from my computer.
After reading about them here: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-01/rs/index.htm
it seems that they are an example of reef biodiversity and dont really harm anything. Hermits and some angels will eat them, but unless you absolutely hate them, they arent hurting your aquarium. Id suggest still finding out for sure though.
