I'm Looking for the scientific name for a fish, comminly know as the engineer fish. It is long, around 3 inchs,has a black body with white spots or stripes. It digs into the sand and creates borrows under LR. It can swim backwards (one of the only fish that I know that can) and I think that it is related to Blennies and Gobies.
I had one years ago in my old reef tank and I would like to get another for my new tank, but I can find any web site that sells them and my LFS needs the scientific name to be sure that it gets what I want.
If anyone knows of a website that lists fish with common and scientific names please post it. Also if anyone knows anything more about the fish I would love to hear about it.
