Ever Tried These?

I bought this turbo pump and heater today for my tank. Has anyone ever tried them before?
They were recommended by the LFS.
Thanks!

People don't usually talk about heaters, but I'm sure that one is good...I mean, it looks more advanced. Koralias are awesome! Good recommendation by them, I hope they didn't overcharge you though.

Hate my koralias (mostly all my fault)... but I never put the guards on the ends and my astrea snails got in there... making a horrible racket -- and not the props are so worn down that I took them out 2 days ago finally.
They virtually made no flow. I do like they are magnetic though.
Anyone know of a mod for new props for these? Right now they are just sitting out and if I could mod them I could get them back in action.

We did put the guard on as a precaution and we don't even have any fish or cleaning crews at the moment! haha....
Inside our booklet for the Koralia, you can order just the prop as a replacement part. Each Koralia model has a separate part number for the prop, but if you would like the number, let me know which Koralia you have and I can send you the part number.
So far we can see a big difference in the water flow. We are thinking about getting one more for the other side of the tank. We are just starting out and only have sand, water, and salt in the tank. Right now, it is that cloudy mess we have read about. lol

I've found that it really doesn't matter.
These powerheads won't burn up with sand in the water either. Your call.

I wasn't thinking about the ph burning up,,,I was thinking about keeping the stuff stirred and not allowing it to settle

I knew that Meo. I was saying that ime, it doesn't make a huge difference if you turn 'em on or off...then I was making a seperate statement saying that turning them on won't harm them.

We just turned the Koralia off just in case. Thanks for the suggestion. We have two canisters running on the back (no filters in them) for water circulation. The canisters are 20/40 gal. size (which we know is too small) but it was what we had around the house until we decided what we were going to purchase. Should we turn these off as well until the sand settles and the water clears up?

Yes, there is no reason to run any form of filtration yet. The water shouldn't require it quite yet. Save some energy I guess. Good luck
It should settle soon enough.
