White = bleached = unhealthy. Brown is the natural color, because when zooantha grows within their body / tenticles they start to turn a dark brown / greenish color / tint. The only BTA colors that I know of are brown (most have this tint anyways) rose, and green (again most have this tint).
A white anemone (BTA, LTA, Sabae) are unhealthy and do not have the light feeding algae in their body that they need to survive long-term. If the entire anemone is white (including the foot) i wouldn't purchase it, if just the tenticles are white and the foot / base is brownish, then under the proper lighting it can recover.

Sorry for the crap pictures...

WOW Sweet looking RBTA.... I have to ask because I see it in my tank too. I dont know what it is. But in your pic kinda all over in different locations you have a very dark maroon covering on your LR. Do you happen to know what it is?

Here's my GBTA, only have had him for a little while. He has moved all over the QT, as you can see my pumps are anemone proof.
He is now almost back to where he started from. Silly anemone's......

Just filter material, I put it around all my power heads and filters to protect the silly anemone. He's still in QT because I just love watching him in there. Kind of hate to move him into the 150g.

Thats got some awesome tentacles! whats that around the filter? filter floss?
Prefilters, prefilters, prefilters.... IMO as important as lighting is if you have an anemone. Without them your tank kills faster than any thing else you can do to your anem.

PD the BTA i got from that crappy petstore looked like it was coming around lastnight but looks worse today. the bottom foot part is still good and still has some tentacles that inflate here and there. with the current in the tank it won't stay and flips upside down. i sure hope my next BTA i get bubbles and whatever clowns i get like it! anyone ever order a BTA from this website's store?
