Havin' some problems. Today I thought I would check out my clams and saw a whole lot of p. snails, I think? Don't have a clue what I should do about it. Is there any natural predators? Or any other way to get rid of them, or just pick them off all the time? Here is a pic of the snail...
NASTY...

Yup, thats them.
Pick out what you can. Several wrasses eat them, 4 line and yellow coris are prolly your best bet.(so i'm told) Others will also, 6 line, some flashers, ect...
I have them in my them in my tank, but the #'s have been going down. I don't have alot of snails and no clams tho.
Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I have liked the flasher wrasse so I might be investing in one. So until then I should just pick them off. Thanks again.
Anyone else have any suggestions...

Same. Pick off as many as you can and use a toothbrush to remove eggs. The six-line will eat them but the snails are nocturnal. Physically removing them is you best bet. Do it every day for a while.

well crap...I have soo many of those snails its not funny. Though I have never seen them on anything but the sand and live rock and night. Do they pose a huge threat to a new 2 inch maxima of mine? I have a sixline wrasse if that helps.

These snails will only be found on snails or clams. If yours are on the sand & rocks my guess is that they are baby Cerith.

I have to disagree with ya bang, I have SEEN them after lights out crawl out of the sand and up on the glass/rocks. Yes they are nocturnal, but some fish feed at night knowing that creepy crawly things come out also.
Also shore, check your snails for them. 6 line will defenitly help. They hunt for them.

On the underside of the shell near the foot. If the snail is on the front glass, you should see them easily.

As I understand it they bail off the host to lay eggs. About 120 at a time. They like to lay eggs in empty snail shells.
