Yeah but Kegan is at least in the mainstream of political ideology. As far as congress going around the court they can't because the second they passed a bill that conflicted with previous rulings it would be struck down by another judge.
years down the road, impeach the judge, any number of things. And socialized medicine is not mainstream ideology.

O announced that they will annouce a student loan initiative this week. Wonder what that will entail. Better not forgive those loans or else the gov't needs to give me back my 30k paid back.

Forgiving student loans would royally PO a lot of people with a lot of money. I think this white house is too politically motivated to do that.

lol, I haven't paid mine off, simply to see if they'll forgive them in some misguided policy decision...

I got 1 year in arrears and they garnished my pay for 4 years. Because they were allowed to charge a $300-$500 fee to refile the garnishment paperwork evry 3 months, my $3800 student loan ended up paying $9873. I know the amount because they were kind enough to send me a summary after I had to go all the way up to the D of E main office to get the garnishment ended when they refused to stop taking money. I have no idea how people get away with it. They cleaned me out.

As much as I love my new home state of Arizona, they have some seriously crazy business laws. If I have your social security number and know where you work, I can get a garnishment with no proof of debt and it is your responsibility to go to court to prove you don't owe me. That's why I couldn't get the garnishment stopped. And anyone can do it, not just a government agency. I am all for business, but that is just crazy.

Montana used to make it really easy to put a lien on a person's house. I kinda liked it like that. You stiffed the yard guy and he could slap on a lien.

At least that kinda makes sense.
the one that doesn't and is very common is when you hire a contractor and the contractor stiffs the materials supplier. That supplier can then put a lien on your home.

Yep, know someone who got caught in that years ago. They proved they paid the contractor and because they (homeowner) didn't sign for the materials to be delivered they weren't responsible for the bill. The really funny thing about the whole episode was a while after that he ended up on the contractor's reference list. He did his best to cost the guy a few jobs.

I liked the guy's answer when asked why he was down at the wall street occupy protest. His answer: "I'm just down here to get laid".

Said it earlier about I hope it doesn't get violent. You get that many people together protesting anything for that period of time and eventually the bad elements will entice something. They may use it as a way just to start trouble for whatever reason or somone will think that violence is the only way to get their point across. Unfortunately, I don't know what that is except for frustration about the economy.
Sincerely,
Kanye
