External Hang on skimmer or Sump

Currently i'm using an internal "Lee's counter current skimmer" in my 20L. being a 20G, it take's up alot of space :( .
I want to change it and get either a 10G tank and make it a sump/ref and use the internal skimmer, or I could get an external hang on skimmer.
Only problem, i do not want to spend more than 70-80$ for it :( .
Think i can get a good skimmer for that price ?
THe reason i am a little against a sump is that incase i need to move due to work, something more to carry.
Been thinking of getting the following :
SeaClone Protein Skimmer
Visi-Jet Protein Skimmer (is it external hang on ? )
Suggestion's ?

I've got the SeaClone and on my old setup it worked great... though there are much better skimmers out there for the $$$ it is the best I think.
As a side note I bought a Prizm and returned it within an hour.. way loud IMO.
Hope that helps
Cheers.

IMO I think seaclones are great. I never tried a prizm but have used the expensive Berlin skimmers and to be honest the seaclones seem too work just as good.

i'm using a prizm skimmer for up to 100 gallons...its external hang on....it is one of the quiter pieces of equipment...compared to my penguin 170 filter and my pc lighting balasts....it is very quite...
i got mine for 69.99 (+tax)
i was on sale at my LFS...you can get them off ----...just make sure you ask them about motor and any cracks or anything (if it isn't new)

Regular (not PRO) red sea Prizm skimmer is rated for maximum 90 gal, but skimms best when installed on 45 gal tank. It's pump rates for 160 gal/h (!) to low for 100 gal tank. I'm used to have one of those on my tank, it's venturi is very loud, comparing to other skimmers.

Dazed,
Do you like the lees other than the space? I considered getting one for the time being just because they are cheep. I don't have anything on my 29 and thought the lees may be a good temporary skimmer until I upgrade to a bigger tank?

The Lee's is definately good. does the job well, only take's up a little more space than what I would like. You will need to buy an airpump for it, and probably not a small airpump. Im using a "second Level" pump (cant remember the name). It collects the waste and is easily controllable as well.
Another problem, if you have a hood, you'll need to see how much space there is between the tank rim and the hood/light. The collection cup comes about 5" higher than the rim and 5-6" in width (including suction cup's).

Look towards the upper right of the tank. That is all I can see in my 55. So far I like it!!

Nopes! Its a counter current, inside the tank :( .
Water goes into the skimmer through "hole's" in the body.
I will post a pic of my tank in a day or two. Look out for it :)

Ok ! Now that is awsome ;) . Only problem, it being 18" long, my tank is only 12-15" long :( I have a 20G long hence the short height. Otherwise, it seem's to be good! is it loud ? does the job well ?
Edit : well, since you do have one, could you please measure the skimmer from the "base bottom" to where the clamp for the tank is ? WOuld it be ok if it's not resting on anything and only hangs on the tank ?

From the "base bottom" to the "hanging bracket" it is 9 inches. Take a look at this picture I just took.
