Fan worms?

Bought some new live rock today and it is now covered in what appear to be small, mint green "fan worms." They are about dime sized when fully spread out, are living in holes in the rock and retract right quick when hermits crawl near them.
We found a picture online that looked like them-- it was labelled carpet fan worms.
Are these fan worms? Can I feed them or are they doomed?

They sound like fan worms. They eat phytoplankton and bacteria. They actually have a good chance of doing well if you have a healthy system.

Butterflys, very few other fish can eat them.
