Every year I go to a different baseball stadium and when I make it to either Jacobs Field or Comerica Park(I think thats what they call the stadium the Tigers play in now...it's hard to keep up w/ the corporate sponsors) I am plan on hitting Cedar Point in the same trip.....HOT ROD The fastest coaster in the world....so I've been told...
6 Flags Magic Mountain is better than Disneyland as far as rides are concerned in SoCal but has more gang activity than the most wholesome place on earth...

Cedar Point without a doubt, sure there is no other reason to go to sandusky but you can't beat cedar point, Top thrill dragster is somethin everyone should do, espically when it doesn't make it over and you go 120 backwards, millinum is always fast smooth and a rush and then they've even got the classics like the mean streak, the roughest coaster i've ever ridden next to the hurricane in Myrtle Beach, and the Gemini, its always fun racing, like someone above said theres a reason its been voted the best park in the world for how many years in a row now?

agreed, except they opened the largest water park in the US a few weeks ago... i've heard it's amazing! sandusky sucks, and lake erie is even worse... if you think you could stay on the beach and go swimming in the lake... DON'T!!! lake erie is the most contaminated of the great lakes... eeeeewwww!!! There's also soak city, which is cool (hehehe, punn intended)
and sandusky is boring as all heck, but there is the 'cheese haven' in port clinton about 15 minutes away.... it's utterly amazing (hehehe... punn intended again). www.cheesehaven.com if you like cheese, that's the place to go!!!
and CEDAR POINT all the way!!! it's been voted the #1 amusement park for 7 years now...
i did a 10 page paper on cedar fair (owns cedar point as well as 5 other parks, and 6 water parks), and they are the best company! All of the money that falls out of people's pockets into the lakes, they gather it up and donate it to a children's fund. They keep their parks very clean, and they have a great working environment. They're very into the foreign exchange program as well.
crimzy, where do you live? NY, right?

you've obviously never been to cedar point... it has the world's tallest coaster, the world's fastest coaster, and the world's longest wooden coaster. IT ROCKS!!!

actually as of last year, Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point is no longer the worlds tallest. its record was beaten by like 20 feet. but still most of CP's 16 coasters broke records at one time or another. i agree completely that Sandusky is a ghost town if not for the point. but soon 6 flags will be gone and CP domination will begin!

they changed the 6 flags in cleveland area back to 'geauga lake', and cedar fair bought it out... i forgot about that. Now they own a total of 7 amusement parks and 6 water parks (YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE ONE BY CEDAR POINT!!! IT'S SOOOO FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!)

you just get out of the pool or lazy river, and there's a bar right there. it's utterly amazing!!!!!!

By far CEDAR POINT. It has won best am. park six years in a row and best steel coaster.
M. Force is the best steel coaster on the face of the planet. And you cannot compare Disney to Cedar Point. Your not comparing apples to apples.

Gosh, none of you OC'ers are gonna slide in Knotts Berry Farm????
I'd go there over Disneyland. But then that's probably because I worked at Disney for almost 20 years!!!!!! ***)

knotts is owned by cedar fair...
Cedar Fair’s seven amusement parks are Cedar Point, located on Lake Erie between Cleveland and Toledo in Sandusky, Ohio; Knott’s Berry Farm, near Los Angeles in Buena Park, California; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, located near Allentown in South Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania; Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom, located near Cleveland, Ohio; Valleyfair, located near Minneapolis/St. Paul in Shakopee, Minnesota; Worlds of Fun, located in Kansas City, Missouri; and Michigan’s Adventure near Muskegon, Michigan. The Partnership’s five water parks are located near San Diego and in Palm Springs, California, and adjacent to Cedar Point, Knott’s Berry Farm and Worlds of Fun. Cedar Fair also owns and operates the Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Resort in Sandusky, Ohio.

One of the top roller costers is at "stateline" right when you come into Nevada from California at a place called Buffalo Bills Casino....I've been all over the Us riding coasters, when this one was built several years ago it was ranked like #2 for speed and it's just awesome, it kinda circles the casino and there are never more than 5-6 eople ridding it...

I grew up in Youngstown... I have definately been to Cedar point. Not for a while though, I admit. I love Carowinds cause it's more than Roller coasters. Now that I have the young uns, I need alternate activities besides the thrill rides, so over-all, Carowinds rocks!

Maybe I'll head back up the CP when I visit family this summer though...
