Feeding My Kole Yellow Eye Tang

Hi,
I recently got a Kole Yellow Eye Tang. He wont eat anything I give him. I leave green marine Alger available to him but he won't touch it. I really don't want to lose this beautiful fish, please help!

18 hours or so

Give it 3 or 4 days before you start to worry. Kole Tangs are territorial so it's upsetting to them when they are moved to a different tank. It will just take a few days for it to settle in. Having you hovering over the tank trying to feed it will make it worse.

Try a little Mysis Shrimp or a Marine Blend also I had one he might be kinda shy he needs tank mates to bring him around good luck

What type of green algae? Is it sheet or live algae?
As a side note, most of my tangs will not eat green algae sheets. They prefer purple, red and brown. When I have a picky eater, I hold the sheet in my hands in the water column in front of a power head and rub it back and forth between my fingers. It breaks into little pieces like a flake food and the fish usually will go after it.

My Yellow Tang and My Foxface Love The Green Algae Strips and 2 of my Damsels eat it also I guess every fish is different he should also try some Ora and drop it in the bottom of the tank some prefer to forage like in the wild Vs. a lettuce clip
