Finally got a cat!

I've wanted a cat for quite a long time. Heather knew it and had tried to surprise me, in the past, but it never worked out. About a week ago, a lady I used to work with had two kittens, for free. One was EXACTLY what I wanted...charcoal grey, with black marbled patterns. I asked about it and she immediately replied with "you people are disgusting...you keep snakes. I would never give you ANY animal, because you'd probably let it get eaten by one of your snakes!" I thought she was joking, at first until she glared at me, with the dirty eye and promptly stormed away. I told her to go screw herself and didn't want one of her cats anway.
So, yesterday, Heather came home with this little girl. She's awesome! Mama kitty is the local bar cat, who Heather feeds. She'd been trying to catch the kittens for a while, but they were basically wild. Mama kitty had barely weened this litter and the little tramp is knocked up again, getting ready to pop, any day.
I haven't named her, yet...but she's absolutely adorable. Within a few hours, being home, she already started using a litter box. She's getting used to the dog, but still takes a swipe at him...he's scared to death of her...75lb of german shepard/lab and he's scared of a cat that fits in my hand.
Any name suggestions?
Again...she hates the dog, as seen in this photo...hahahah!

It's nice having an animal that is automatically bonding with me, as Heathers dog freaks out, if she goes to the bathroom and he can't see her.
This is where she prefers to sit, vigilantly watching the horrible brown monster, who's she's sure is going to eat her...

The kitty is cute as a button AW! Looks like a calico, which are notorious for being a bit "crazy"! ....maybe you can call it Cally! Or Meowzer LOL
Let its personality surface for a day or 2, then maybe a name will come to mind!

What a cutie. She looks like my cat Penny. When we got her our dog hid under the table for 3 days.

lol, has she seen the giant lizard yet? We caught a kitten like that during Rita, He was getting blown across the parking lot. He turned into the biggest cat I've ever seen minus a hemmingway, and a complete pansy. We have this other 5 pound gray cat, that beats the crap out of him. But he loves my sister's schitzu mutt thing that some people call dogs.

That coming from Mrs responsible who let her unspayed female get pregnant only so she can give away the offspring.

Anyway... Cute cat. I like weezie too! AND morsel! 75lb shepherd and all.

Let's see if I can remember all of the questions, to answer.
ruaround:
Techinically, in Illinois, you have to have a permit for any snake over 6 feet long, as they're labeled as "injurous animals". Now, if you have pythons, the state really doesn't enforce that law. For venomous snakes, you have to have a special permit but it encompasses all reptiles, so therefore I have my permit for my Pythons too.

We do not have the Crocodile Monitor anymore. I traded him off for all of the high end Retics I just got. The new owner agreed to sign a legal, notarized contract, saying that if he ever decides to/has to get rid of the Croc, he automatically comes back to us, though.

I've been touch and go here because of work, what is a high end Retics? And do you have a picture thread?

In the trade I ended up with a male Super Dwarf Retic (100% het for albino), a female Jampea Cross Retic (100% het for albino), a female Albino Tiger Retic and a male Super Tiger Retic (100% het for albino).
On top of that, I ended up with a 10' normal (wild caught) normal Retic, a 5' - 6' albino Burmese male and our big boy, Brutus...18' long and 214lb of Burmese Python.
Those were all in the trade, for the Crocodile Monitor.
As of right now, the St Louis Zoo had been begging me, for Brutus. The Burm and Retic they have, on display, look like a baby, compared to Brutus.
Last weekend, I traded the 5' - 6' male albino Burm off for a 6' - 7' male Tiger Retic (which will give me untold color morphs with my babies).
Here's new pics, of the high end babies (3 of the most expensive, anyway...I didn't get new pics of the Jampea Cross female)...
Super Tiger (100% het for albino)

Albino Tiger Retic

Super Dwarf (100% het for albino)...and axanthic (never produced till now). Potenially (next year) a $10,000 snake.
