I've been working on this particular shot for a few days, playing around with it off and on, retaking the shot, edit, retake, play with lighting etc..
Well today was the day, finally got some more settings figured out

very nice. Does the higher f stop = more detail?
The higher the fstop the more background details you have, the lower the number like f2.8 and you have the center of the image in focus and the outside blurry

That statement is just wrong. It has nothing to do with the center and outside. its a focal plane. shoot at 2.8 or f40 it doesnt matter. if you shoot at 2.8 and the focus plane stretches from left to right it will all be in focus from left to right in that focus plane same with f40 it will just be a much larger DOF so it will seem everything is in focus. It has nothing to do with the center. The DOF doesnt just happen in the center.

Okay. I guess if you are going to be explaining it to people you want the information to be accurate, and with the correct terminology.

There is nothing wrong with my statement and it's totally factual and true.
when your dealing with marine macro photography, notice I said marine macro, you either want the background in focus or you don't. period...and how do you control the background being in and out of focus? the lower the fstop setting the less depth of field you have, want the background more in focus then you crank up the fstop or change lens.
Did I say anthing about left or right, no...Did I say background yes....If you woke up cranky and wanting to start a flame war, take it --

Once again
"the lower the number like f2.8 and you have the center of the image in focus and the outside blurry"
Read your own post..This is inaccurate..I dont care what your taking pics of..a focal plane is a focal plane. It has nothing to do with the center of the image or the outer edges of the image.
I am sure you will start crying that I am always after you..Just cleaning up the facts
