Yeah on the sand or low on the rocks. I trained mine to be in the middle level under 250w mh. It's pretty happy there. Congrats on the duncans. Prices are really starin to come down.

Do they really grow this fast. I bought one head yesterday. I did not notice any others heads even starting, and today, there is a new head coming out the side.

Feed them and they grow very quickly

What I don't get is if they are this fast growing and this hardy...
WHY DO THEY COST SO MUCH!?

I ordered a frag and it should be arriving later this morning

It said 1-2 heads and I requested 2 heads
I'm starting to get into more corals and hoping this will be a good one for me

I have a two heads duncan and cannot see where he has grown at all. You guys who have duncans that are growing and multiplying, what and when are you feeding it?

I feed mine about once or twice a week with mysis. I try to get every single head with some of the food. I've had mine for maybe 5 months, and it's already grown 4+ heads on it. I also use reef chili (kinda like coral frenzy) every week or so. I've noted better SPS growth while using this, too.
