so, in the past year, we've lost some fish
lost some corals
lost my mind, and learned quite a few valuable things along the way. we've had two different lighting systems (with mogul and HE bulbs), three different spectrums (10k, 14k, and 20k), two different skimmers, three different return pumps, can't count the korilias, seio's, vortech's we've tried, but through it all we've enjoyed. i guess you call it dedication (some people call it something else) when you're up a 1am "fishing" a clownfish out of an overflow...
another story altogether... but at least i don't have fish biting me, right meowzer?

Tank looks awesome!
yeah, got some grief for that! We are think about taking the black backing off that part and making a "look thru" from the kitchen, but i have to find something that will take off the black backing without scratching the glass. the of course,, I'll have to reaquascape everything
and get rid of about 100lbs LR. Yep, sounds like an upcoming project

yeah, we've had really great growth. we dose with a two part solution, and the GF tests on a constant basis. she REALLY is the heart and soul of this tank

OMG morgage the house...lol. Well I wouldn't go that far but I do want to make it as easy as possible next time, at least with an ATO because this hauling buckets thing is for the birds.......I would like to just push a button and dump 10% and then have it fill back up with another button....lol

the top off isnt too bad. "we" (i meant to say the GF) goes thru about 1.5-3 gal per day. as for water changes, we use a couple of 35 gal trash cans, fill one up, empty the other. got a spare Mag 18 so it only takes a few mins. i've been joking to her that if i see a 250 or bigger on "the bay" that it's mine!! yeah...that goes over well
