alright well thanks for the advice i might just have to get one and today i will be ordering my test kit so i can start testing my tank next week

well i got my test kit ordered and it should arrive about wednesday so im excited about that and man my water is looking really clear, it also looks like i have a coulple of little feather dusters on my rock

yea i found a nice par38 led bulb that i want to order hopefully next friday, i was reading the comments about it and it said that the bulb could support sps and hard corals so i definetly want to get it.

well i couldn't wait for the light so i went ahead and ordered it and it should be coming sometime at the beginning of next week.

yea im pretty excited and hopefully my test gets in sooner than wednesday so i can start testing my water, the tank has been going for a week now do you think i should do a small water change or should i jus leave it alone

leave it until you got cycle, then do waterchange and add clean up crew

well i got my test kit so when i get home tonight i will get to finally test my water and if i can i will post the results

awesome, glaf it made it.. as for clean up crew, i would start with 5 snails and a hermit crab or 2

ok i tested my water and the ph was at 8.2 and the ammonia and nitrites were at 0, but the nitrates were at 4ppm. Do i have to wait till the nitrates reach 0 before i add my cuc?

but i still have to wait before i add any corals so that sucks

ok these first two pics are with the Par 38 led bulb


on the next two pics i decided to put my old light and my new one togther that way the whole tank would be lit up

the par 38 bulb is on the left and the old light is on the right and this is with the par 38 bulb at completely white

this is with the par 38 bulb with blue and white

nice, might need to lift the par38 up some to get more spread
