If he is already eating brine, try to get him on to some other stuff too for the nutrition. Mine eats omega brine, mysis, krill, and emerald diet with vitamins and garlic soaked in. It seems to make their colors come out better....I honestly don't know if you will be able to keep him alive in that tank unless you feed him daily and he eats the majority of his food from you. That tank is just really small for him. I have a 29 and mine did manage to transition completely to frozen foods but they don't all take.....good luck with yours.....

I really love your nano. I want to start one in my classroom. What kind of filter are you using and other equip? I have plenty of empty aquariums around. I just need to look into the other stuff. But seeing your tank has got me eager to look into it again.
How long have you had this tank going?
P.S. I love love the snail close up mouth eye pic. I think I am going to go play around with my camera now!

5.5 gallon for a mandarin?

imo, after a month, i find it hard to believe that your mandarin has a sufficient supply of copepods ..but at least it's eating brine? any luck with mysis?

Thanks for the comments. I am using an aqua-tech power filter that is full of bio balls the lighting is a coralife mini aqualight w/ 1 9watt true actinic and 1 9watt 10,000k daylight its just a simple set up. I also have a small clump of cheato behind a rock.
