Name brand of bulb isnt going to make a difference. Your lighting right now isnt not intense enough to sustain corals, even with changing your bulb. You need to get more light fixtures to increase your wattage. I would think about 50 to 60 watts of light would be a good place to start for soft corals if your staying with CF.

Yea definitely a new light fixture is in order...not just a bulb. The new fixture will provide the necessary power for better lights. I would say get MH or T5s...personally I am doing a 20g too and ordered T5s...that will be IMO good for a tank this size for most basic corals. If you want no limitation based on lighting for your selections (i.e. clams, etc) then go for the MHs.

thanks for the input guys....i still dont know what to do with my lightning yet...might have to change the hood right ???

but after acclimation and couple minutes in the tank...one of the fish look so funny....he thought the tank glass is a mirror and he keep following his own 'shadow'..

Nice fish but:
It should be kept with other compatible semi-aggressive fish and will likely be aggressive toward its own species. The Valentini Puffer does feed on red algae, green algae, and coralline algae, but also likes to use its teeth feeding on crustaceans. It is definitely not recommended for the reef aquarium.
Meaty foods it may accept include krill, clam, and carnivore preparations.

It will enjoy krill. A cube of "frozen shrimp" which i am guessing is frozen brine or mysis, is probably way too much for your fish.

once your tank is well established, cleaner shrimp make great inhabitants. However, they are sensitive to water quality, so take care. I prefer them over CBS as they are smaller, more peaceful, and do not end up eating your fish.

I feed mine about 1/4 a cube/day and 2 or so shrimp pellets for the lobster/snails and shrimp. I have 3 fish now (i think my lobster got my pygmie angel) and this seems to be sufficient for my guys. Hows that light coming?I just got t5s for my 20 because i wanted to start corals, and it looks fantastic! am awaiting my shipment tomorrow with some xenia and a toadstool.
