Fish Freak is Back!!

Hello everyone! I havent been on this cite in forever, but that changes now! I had to create a new account for some reason, i used to be known as Fish Freak2012, but now its FishFreak2012 (no spaces) lol well as some of you may remember our 265 mixed reef crashed due to copper a littles than a year ago, but now it is coming back! We have since disposed of ALL of our rock and sand, and the tank has been scrubbed very well, and now its time to start this process all over again, but this time FISH ONLY! Since september we have been buying all new things. We purchased two Reef Inserts (they look saweeet) and bought 90 lbs of sugar fine pink caribean sand. All that survived the crach was a pair of clowns, a sixline, and a coral beauty , so we will obviously have some stocking ahead. cant wait!!!!!
its sooooo nice to be back on this site, cant wait to get back into your tanks and builds!! :)

the tank currently looks pretty boring. lol we will try to get some pics up soon. We have to reseal the intakes and bulkheads, so until then the tank will be dry. :( lol

My brother and i bought about a hundred lbs of LR from a guy who was selling his system, and he didnt mention that he had treated his FOWLR with copper. we found out a short time later when all of our corals started dying. we lost about a thousand dollars worth of coral. it was all we had worked up to and it was just looking good. well i guess it was our time to start over. :) so we did!! We drained the tank, and ditched the rock and sand. we scrubbed the tank really good, and bought two reef inserts, and new sand. We will also probubly just have to run a polly pad constantly just to be safe. so yeah that was the problem, but we have moved past it. thank god. lol
