A friend of mine just called me and said over the past Month he has lost 3 Angels and 2 clown Goby's and a Cleaner Shrimp. What I don't understand is all water levels are good.
NH4-0
NO3-0
NO2-0
PH-8.3
ALK-12.8
CAL-450
MAG-1350
Temp-79.2
SG-1.027
It's a heavily stocked(coral) 125gal soft reef tank 30gal. sump/fuge with skimmer. 3 250watt 20k MH lights are on from 1pm to about 11pm. So like I said I just don't understand the fish loss. All test kits are new. If anybody has any idea what could be happening I'll pass it on. Thanks

Do the fish die or disappear? If it is a vanishing problem...look to see if he has an anemone.
If it is fish die off...look and see if he has a damsel, or other very aggressive type of fish.

has he kept a data log chart of those readings over a period of time or was that just a one time thing?
fluctuations in any of those params can reek havoc...
maybe its a disease/parasite he has yet to identify...
were they recently new introductions to the tank or has he had all those fish for 5+ years and it was just their time to go.
but i would recommend testing every few days and keeping a log to narrow down any fluctuations...
also look into the fish disease forum and see if their are any identifiable symptoms...
if he is dosing supplements that he is not testing for than that could also be a problem...
and everything that flower said too!
