Fish Tank Smell

Hehehe Meowzer I just finished cleaning my 37g and I still have the 110 to do tonight. Glad I don't have as many as you do!!

Sparty since you already cleaned with soap, do the vinegar wash that was suggested, a good long rinse, then let it sit outside someplace safe until tomorrow. You should be fine that way I think. And no, your tank won't smell....but I think everyone else already covered that!!
Just don't do what I did last month and clean your sump, then leave a gallon sized container of old macroalgae sitting next to the tank for a week to ferment. PEW!!!

I ended up just cleaning it with bleach. It smells fantasic again! Hooray! I have it set up in a room right now with the egg crates on it. Tomorrow I MIGHT go to buy some RO water... but not sure if I want to waste the money since I am buying an RO water filter. If I have a 60 gallon tank (Hexagon 28" tall) can I just put in 30 gallons of water in to hold a fish for 6 weeks or so? or will I have to fill it all the way up?

I hope you dechlorinated it

Are you talking about using the hex for a qt??? Cause you still have to cycle one of them too

Uh oh... dechlorinated it? %@$&. Yes, I am using the Hex for the QT. The 125 Gallon in my living room will be the main tank that I will start to soon cycle as soon as I get my water pump and slabs of glass for the baffles.
