Can anyone give me the name & phone # of the guy with Oceanic that handles warranty claims? I've read about him in previous posts. I read he took good care of people.

sorry I don't know that guy or a number you can call, I hope you'r tank was not "re-furbished" like it was returned and fixed then sent back out as new. I hope you get it fixed soon!!! I did want to say you'r pic's are great!1 I really like the shrooms
If i had a big chair that close to my tank's I would never leave the house
good luck!!

One of the fans wasn't working, and there were some cosmetic "quality control" issues with the tank. The black sealant on the bottom was poorly done. There was alot of excess I had to peel off & more that I didn't. On the bottom of the front the plastic must not have come off the mold correctly. There is a spot about 5" long where the edges have sharp pertruding plastic. I tried to work it down, but it's noticeable. And all that white crap on the wires.
I called Nick @ Oceanic & he said to return it to my lfs & get a new one, and they'd send it back.
He was very nice, apologetic, and helpful.
The only problem is my LFS does not stock them. I called them & told them what was going on. They were very nice, apologetic, & helpful also. They ordered one today but they only get their shipments from the distributer on Thursdays.
I'm happy with the cust. service & end result, but I must wait another week to get this cube going!

Yes it worked.

It got me in the mood to go shopping around for some LR. I think I have around 15 lbs now in my 90g. Patiently waiting to go in the cube. I'm gonna try to find another 15 lbs today.
Will it be OK in a rubbemaid tub with SW & a powerhead until I get my cube going next weekend?
BTW thanks for you comments. It's cool to have everyone to share the ride with.

Well that really stinks about the tank
Oh well, I would think your LR would be fine in a tub with a powerhead.
Good luck and keep us posted

sorry about your tank troubles. Your 90 looks good! I know its exciting setting up a new tank. Wish I had room for a nice big 90 like yours.(tank envy)
The LR will be fine in the tub. Good luck with everything!

Thanks bro!
I picked up about 20lbs LR today. 3 covered with coraline. 2 lbs of rubble to replace bio-balls. 2 rocks I put in my 90. They had some unknown (to me & LFS) hitchikers.
A little (5-6) frag of pink polyps & a purple shroom. The other had a couple of maroon colored shrooms. They had them both in their big LR tank. The other LR is in a bucket with a pump & heater. I got 15 atlantic turbos also. They are also in the bucket. I'm ready to go!

I plan on getting an order together here @ swf.com for a clean up crew.
Any suggestions?

OK this a draft of my order.
20 Scarlet Hermits & some empty shells
1 Fighting Conch
3 Emerald Crabs
4 Porcelain Crabs
10 Nassarius Snails
1 Fire Shrimp
1 Orange Tree Sponge
1 Blackcap Basslet
2 Black & White False Percs-Does anyone know if these will stay small like a orange perc.? I ask this because I have a black Clownfish in my 90g (the one in my avatar) & he's huge-like a maroon. I don't want something that will get that big.
1 Neon Goby
There is 1 more fish at my LFS I want, but for the life of me I can't remember it's name. It is small about 2in has a white boby & purple top. I'll post what it is when it comes to me.
What's everyone think about the order?

I think (hope) so.
In my 90g I have many hermits, probaly a dozen emeralds, 4 porcelains ( I hardly ever see them exept for two that have their normal hangouts), and 2 sally lightfoots.
Maybe my eyes are to big for this cube.
What's everyone else think.

I x'd the sally lighfoots. They probably get to big for the 30 with all the other crabs.
Does anyone know if the black false percs sold here @ swf stay small like a regular orange perc? I have a black clown in my 90 that's huge like a maroon.

Hi:
I just purchased my first 29 Galloon Oceanic Bio Cube and I noticed that no instructions came with it, not even a booklet. Does anyone know the number of customer service for this company? I would like to call them and ask them to mail me one.
Thanks.

Hi,
Sorry I don't know about the black perc's, but i also think you may still have too many crabs in there JMO. I have a red linka star and mine is doing very well! Someone here said it would not survive in a nano, due to not enough LR, but I have 24lbs of LR and like I said mine is doing fine
good luck with you'r set -up
I schould be getting most of my stuff for my 40 frag tank today!!
I LOVE setting up new tank's!!!

Should I x the Emeralds?
Too many hermits?
Could someone post lists of their clean up crews for me please?
I got the info on the b&w clowns last night on the clown forum. I'm getting them. The clown in my 90g is a Clarkii. That's why he's so big.

Okay, my opinion of your stocklist... and this is MY opinion only.

Too many scarlet hermits. I would go with maybe 2-4. I would add a lot of little blue leg/dwarf hermits, about 8-10 of them. The 1 conch is fine. I would stick with 1 emerald crab. Maybe add 2-3 electric blue leg hermits. 10 nassarius snails are fine, but I would add about 4 astrea snails as well. Maybe 2 porcelain crabs. The fire shrimp is fine. The sponge should be fine as long as you never expose it to air.
What I said for your CUC is essentially what I have in my 29.
But I also have some cerith snails too and a pom pom crab.
The B&W clowns should stay small if they remain in the 29. I've read where sometimes the size of the tank can determine how big a fish can get?
But don't quote me on that.

I took a trip today to see my buddy who sells coral on the bay. It's an hour drive, but he's got a cool operation & cuts me killer deals.
I got 11
frags!
2 acan lords, 1 huge yuma, several zoos (orange, green, & blue), a small brain frag, some hot green shrooms, and a star polyp frag about the size of a baseball.
I'm not sure which tank everything is going in (my 90g or the cube).
If I've got a problem that's the kind of problem I can deal with!

Nice score, so...can I be your friend

LOL-You might if you will do my WC for me, and check my parems. every other day, and feed my livestock, and start a frag tank for me, and frag my corals, and propagate them, and sell them & make me alot of $ so I can start more tanks & coral, and feed rotifers to my clownfish larvae, and raise the fry, and sell them so I can buy more tanks & corals, etc. etc. etc.
JK you can be my friend. When are you grtting your cube?
I just got everything acclimated & put in their temporay homes.
After seeing my 90g so full of coral, I've decided to forget about the cube. My 90 has never looked better!
The nano forums have been fun. The nano forums seem to have some very nice & helpful people-I always got like a community feeling.
Take care everyone.
