Nope, filter stopped making noise. I put some freshwater in the small aquarium underneath the tank like you all told me to .
The tank started smelling really, really bad, so I emptied half the water out of it. I replaced it with water from the sink - that alright? Do I need to put any sort of conditioner in the water?

Oh, and the lion isn't doing too well. I took him back to the store. He wasn't moving around like he used to. That ok?

wouldn't bother adding a conditionor, just give it about 24 hours or something like that and you should be good, if your fish start acting strange from the fresh water, just throw in some more rock salt and get out that sting and stir your tank up a bit

yeah no worries, just replace him with another lionfish or pick something else out that you like.

with a 75g you have major room to work with, and when you switch over to your 99g, even MORE room to work with, id say if you like the snapper also, get a grouper AND a snapper, like its a win-win situation ya diggg.

There is nothing to worry about. Fish will only grow to the size the tank allows them. Stop worrying so much.

How that anemone doing? You should feed it chicken everyday so it will get bigger. Cooked it ok because with all of those erbs and spices it gotta taste good to it too.
Yeah those snapper stay small. They get around 3 1/2' and you tank is 4' so that is plenty. Also when you get your 90 it wil be 5' So he will be good life long. Just upgrade your spoon to a shovel.

I agree what dose size matter as long as it fits in the tank it cant out grow it. Besides a snapper is a pieceful fish. once he gets 3' he will eat out of your hand. And groupers like to be in schools hence the word grouper. So get 3 at a min

Great advice man! I never thought of that.
I've been lookin' on the internet about some fish. I think those snakeheads and Red Devil Cichlids look really awesome! I still haven't gotten a new lion.
Is saltwater supposed to smell so bad?

Yeah the smell is normal. Those chiclids are awsome and would do great. How are the fish? It is strange how when you put the spoon in the water and stir they all like to follow the leader.
Also dont be fooled by the fishes gills not moving. Thats just them trying to play dead. Have you put any coral in there? I bet an elegance coral would look real nice!
How about a giant clown trigger too. Thehy are soo cool looking and since they are a type of clown they are not aggresive.
