I love the look of a flame angel. What has been everyone's success rate with these in a reef tank. I want to add one, but I dont want to risk it nipping at my clams. What's eveyone's opinion.

The above is right! It is a risk! The flame angel is known to chew away at corals so I don't see why they wouldn't take umbrage on a clam! It is a chance if you want to take it!

I agree that the addition of any dwarf angel is a risk...they have all been reported to nip corals and can cause problems in a reef system.
But....I have a coral beauty in a 55 reef that houses numerous LPS/leathers/softies/shrooms/polyps...a squamosa clam...even a couple of carefully selected SPS type corals...and in all honesty my coral beauty has never been a problem.
Others have reported problems with coral beauties...and other dwarfs...but my experience has all been good....so far!

Were the corals already established, then put in the angle?
I'd like to consider a Coral Beauty as my first main fish, but should I start adding my corals mushrooms, and polyps first?
