Overall they are a hardy angel, but has to be accumulated into a well established tank, preferably around 5-6 months. They like to graze on the live rock, eating algea and stuff like that but will take most fish foods, brine shrimp, ect. A very hardy and beautiful fish.
Some have been known to occasionally nip at soft corals but I never had any trouble with mine.
Constantly grazing on the algae on the rocks and glass. Hearty appetite! Eats brine shrimp, flakes, algae mix, seaweed mix and small pieces of silverslides. Mine didn't eat for the first week but got used to his surroundings and started gorging everything.
I have had my Flame "Sparky" for almost a year.If you can get him acclimated the hard part is over.Mine eats just about anything and has proven to be one of my hardier fish.
They are great for a FOWLR tank, but I will not put one in my reef again. Mine just died during a long power outage. He loved to pick at brain corals and killed more than one.
Ive had mine for well over a year. Had him in my first smaller tank and now in my 125 reef. He's great. Doesn't bother any of the corals. He is, however, the tank "boss". He eats anything and generally gets along great with the other fish.
My flame grazes on my LR and loves the prime reef food I feed . He is beautiful and loves to cruise in and out of my LR. It does keep the rest of the tank in check and it's the only fish that goes to the cleaning shrimp regularly...and has been 100% healthy in my tank since the day I adopted it.

you can also feed it macro, before mines died, it ate a lot of my feather macro
Entice.... this doesn't sound much like an endorsement to me Sorry for your loss.
it didnt die from eating, it died because i was stupid enough to buy one in such a small tank and it was before i really knew how to properly change the water, imo i think it was the ph spike that caused everything to act strangly after my water changes
