They said it is fine for what I am doing because I will not make enough money of it on ---- for me to need a license. They said there are know protected species in the gulf waters that will grow on the rock and live in it.

They said it would probably be an issue though if I was doing it in the keys because there is a lot of protected species down there.

They answered you on a Sunday during a holiday weekend?

Last I heard, it was really annoying to get a licence to do that. First guy to do it spent a ton of money and had to sue the state over it. I havn't heard details on the other aquaculturists struggles, but they're all advertising years younger rock than the first guy.
