Flow from bottom going up??

It seems we all put our PH's near the top and point them down abit.Is there any reason why I couldn't position them 3/4's of the way down or so,and angle them up and straight across..Since i have upgraded my LR only comes about half way up, maybe less, from the bottom.So its not getting as much flow across it.Just a thought i had,and was curious if anyone puts there flow from the bottom, up.I may try it.

I have some of mine low blowing straight across...middle, blowing up, of course on top blowing down....
You can point then where ever you want

LR doesn't need massive, direct water flow; just constant water movement. You can put the PHs anywhere and keep the tank water circulating. BTW, a PH that disturbs the surface also helps with gas exchangs.
