when ppl say some corals need 20-30x over per hour what's that based on..just doesn't make sense to me anyways I belive the PH I have and the flow in the tank is really more than sufficent. So imo in a 120 creating reverse currents with a koralyia 3 and a mag2 not including the filters etc... is working great
depending on what type of corals you want to keep will determine the amount of flow you will need. softies wont like alot of flow, but LPS like moderate flow, not too much of it either. it probably also depends on whats going on in the reefs where these corals are located
since constantine and i keep SPS, we generate a lot of flow from our powerheads and try to keep it chaotic type of flow in the tank. its a way for the SPS to breathe
id you do really have 30x or so, itll be ok. i think the mod murph on here has 30x, but most people in SPS have way more that that, minimum being around 50x for SPS. like i said, i have more than 90x and so does constantine. my snails get blown around when they come up from the sandbed but the SPS love the high amount of flow
