Thanks I plan on this tank just for a display tank.I like those ricordea mushrooms, there very interesting.I've only seen them on this site,so very cool.
How do I know if theres to much flow going back into the tank? ANd you make sure the return line to the display is above water level or jsut below so if power outage doesn't syphon the tank down to the sump.
Do you sell zoo's/poly's,and ricordea's?
Thanks alot,
Cory
You will overflow if there is more flow going in that the overflow allows to drain to sump, that's why you put a ball valve on the pvc return from the sump pump to the tank.
Yes, I have frags of both rics and zoas I sell, mostly rics though. But PM is more appropriate on that subject or we end up turning the thread into a classified thread.
Sorry, for some reason I thought you were doing a frag tank. 1x250 wt MH and a couple T5 actinics would do well on the tank.
If it were me though and my tank I would do 2x150wt though. Get better coverage. A single will not get to the ends of a 40 breeder. But it will work, just have to keep low light corals at the ends and get used to seeing darker sides than the center.
With 2x150s though you could have them on seperate timers and have one come on couple hours ahead of the other and go off couple hours ahead and have a semi-natural light cycle.
