Specifically what kind of food would you recommend for a blue carpet anemone? Its diameter is around 7 inches. My LFS suggested “Silversides”
Thanks,

Silversides, Sand Eels, Krill, Squid, Shrimp (Grocery Store variety), Fish.
Hopefully you can keep it feed well........they are uncanny fish murderers if they are hungry. Just keep him not hungry. :D
Got any pictures?

Definitely provide a regular meaty type diet...or it will make a meal out of critters you'd rather keep(fish/shrimp/crabs etc)....beautiful additions but they can be problematic! Most of the really successful ones seem to be in very large reefs.

They are definately fish eaters and need to eat more than what you would think is reasonable. Feed it as many fish as it will eat 2 or 3 times a week.

Thanks for the welcome and advice.
I don’t have any pictures of the anemone yet :-(
I have a Nikon Coolpix 995 camera but I am a lousy photographer… any chance you know of some quick tips on how to take good pictures of an aquarium? I gave it a go with all the aquarium lights on, and another go with only actinic lights on… both sets of pics turned out poor. The actinic pictures showed up completely black. (I had the focus mode set to “macro-closeup mode” and the quality mode set to “xga”)
Thanks,
S
