Food Question

OK...It is coming time for my quarterly frozen food order....I buy a smorgasboard of foods, but my question is on a brand of mysis
I usually buy Hikari mysis cubes @ 2.69
I notice they now have SanFrancisco Bay Mysis cubes @ 2.19
same size.....any opinions on one or the other????

I doubt it matters, although it seems some cubes have more meat in them than others. My lask Hikari pack seems light.. not sure what I got before hand but it was "fuller" if that makes sense.

I use SanFran Bay mysis, and there seem to be a lot of whole shrimp in them. I have never used the Hikari, so no help there.

Hikari is more popular than the other brands amongst the seahorse crew. PE being the fav when ya can get it and get your horse to eat it. I mix it up and give my horses a mixture of Hikari, PE mysis and BS. Still can't convince them of krill bits. But I'm trying :)
What size fish are you looking to feed with them?

This is just for my fish.....I know the seahorse peeps like PE and Hikari, but
I don't have the horses anymore, remember :( ....
I just usually order a large amount of frozen foods at once, since I have to order online, and try to get the most I can out of the shipping costs...
I never saw the SFB Mysis before

This is some of what I feed...I alternate of course,

of course I feed raw shrimp, silversides and scallops to the ray

Ya, I wasn't making reference to feeding horses, just that they are favoured nutritionally and for their "intactness".... and seahorse peeps know their mysis.
K, some of those fish are big. If there's PE mysis on the list, get some.... they are big ole fatty freshwater mysis.
I'm always adding lines because I always have to come back in for typos. I never get out of a post without typos. Sometimes I'm praying while editing that no one is quoting my stinky typing before I get a chance to fix it.
LINE ADDED: H20 Minis are cute and intact as well. I think I have a dried comparison pic here somewhere of the 3.

If someone gets into my photobucket after I'm dead and looks at my collection... I'm going to be remembered as being one weird bird.
Left to right... PE mysis, the varying sizes of Hikari per cube and lastly H20 minis.

BUT, Hikari has been known to harvest their mysis periodically when they are really really small. Without warning you end up with these super small ones like minis. It drives me nuts.

I'm not sold on feeding bloodworms to marine fish, being they are freswater in origin as well as the fact that while nutritious fro freshwater fish they are harder to digest than other foods. I would only use them as a treat as opposed to a food. Who am I kidding I wouldnt use them, but if your going to use them, IMO they should be used sparingly.
