Finished up for the most part this weekend. Still have a few odds and ends like safety wiring to wrap up before it's maiden track debut. Many performance mods to come later. Concentrated efforts and money on suspension first.

Looks awesome John!!! My crystal ball says you will be at Jennings soon!!!
That will be my home track but not until October. I have two big vacations coming so I don't want to take any chances right now as I'm not known for self restraint. I'll be hitting up Road Atlanta and Roebling at some point also.

Here was my baby. I did a few mods and loved taking her to the drag strip. I was never brave enough to do your kind of racing.

WOW! That's one sick looking bike!!

Thanks CK. You have that project bike you are working on. The projects just get bigger and more expensive when you get old(er)

very nice bike! are you riding track days or are you apart of a racing league/group?
Just track days at first and a few schools. I might get into some club racing on the amateur level later on.

Nice choice!
What times did you get with it? I've never been good enough at launching to get different times. I either slip the clutch too long or stand it straight up.

How fast will that run Tang?
Stock gearing at red line on a gearing calculator is 182 mph. I changed the gear ratio by going down 1 tooth on the front sprocket and up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket. I also went with a higher 190/55 tire over the stock 190/50 for quicker turn it. With those changes the top speed is reduced to 168 mph. I only need about 150mph on the back stretch at JenningsGP. The gear ratio will greatly increase the acceleration out of the mid corners and starts.

Oh my god! If I come up there can I PLEASE take it around the track?

course that'd be before you mess with the suspension.
I'm glad you got it fixed back up so nicely.

Nice! That is one classy track bike. Most look like pure dog crap
I hope it stays that way. This is my buddy Tom's crash at Jennings back in April. This is an RC51 that is one of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen. One mistake in turn one and you can see what happened in a matter of seconds. They made this into a motivational poster for him to cheer him up. He took an ambulance ride to the ER with a concussion and a pretty messed up shoulder. You can see him in the photo. The other picture is a picture I took of the bike at a track day about 6 months earlier. The big guy in the back is Tom. The unique thing about him is he is 71 year old.

Glad it come out nice. The HVLP presented no problems I take it....But that bike needs a clay smith for spite.
I have not gotten out in months now. All this perfect riding weather and the bikes all just sit in the garage. Actually going to be selling some of them soon.
