I am just saying that you should not limit peoples opinions, when they start to not agree with your own..What if someone shut down this thread because they thought that you were wrong for taking pictures of wildlife..Have a client..Will be back..I realy am not trying to start anything uncivil, but this is the only way you can be contacted..

My intention was not to limit opinions, it was to limit name calling. I re-read the entire thread and there was just too much bashing. If the opinions were being shared in a civil manner then the thread would still be open. I'm a moderator on this site so it is my place to shut down unruly threads. When I step over the line my teammates will tell me to back off.
I don't think you have any idea what my opinion is so how can you think I disagree with anyone? I hunt, or harvest deer, whatever you want to call it. In fact, the large doe off to the right edge of the pic is in my freezer right now (except for the backstraps that I grilled earlier this week).
I'll tell you my opinion, if you don't want to know then feel free to stop reading...
I believe it shows a greater respect for an animal to hunt it, harvest it, butcher it, and pack it yourself than it does to go to the store and pick up your plastic wrapped, tidy piece of meat sitting on a piece of styrofoam. I'm a native american and I have been taught to respect my environment. This includes thanking the animal I just killed for providing me with meat. I don't understand how someone can bash hunters while they're chewing on some processed chicken parts that came from some animal they never knew. The same people that say we need to conserve our wildlife but don't follow through. Hunters are holding wildlife conservation together right now. Without hunters the money for wildlife conservation would dry up overnight.

At first glance I thought it was. It's hard to tell from the crappy pic but this buck has a black nose and black eyes. This deer is what they call a Piebald. Piebald deer usually have brown patches on them or some are mostly brown with white patches. This one is unusual in that it's all white.

See it is starting already. First is Censorship (closing the thread) next will be gun control. Look at German or Russian history. I forwared the closed thread to Sean Hannity I wonder if he will think that this is censorship. If you don't like it don't read it. By the way I am not doing any name calling but I bet if you don't like this thread you will close it as well.

As someone who gets in arguments good natured and otherwise on here, i gotta say you are way off base, Skyman. The issue isnt wether he likes it or not the issue is the personal attacks people were making at each other. We have had a bunch of football threads closed for alot less name calling than that. You may not like it and neither do I sometimes but this board is a service provided to us for free and there are rules we have to follow.
Watson is lucky that Bangguy is a good, fair mod. On many other fish boards he would have been immediately banned for calling a mod a "hippie".

Closing an unruly thread isn't censorship in my opinion. Censorship would be if I deleted the thread. I censor a LOT of threads every day. There are a lot of kooks out there that get off on making the mods busy.
