LOL...I'm talking GRANDkids. I have no power to control them. My own kids had all kinds of pets, even little betta tanks. Grandkids and visitors have to keep hands off, they don't know anything about the tank and put stuff in they shouldn't. Andrew played in the test chemicals, very dangerous. So I don't let them near the fish tank or the bad things that are not baby proofed all around it. On a day to day life... I have only adults in the house.
Al, I'm sure you son does not go to other peoples or grandpa's house and start doing stuff with their animals or fish tanks. In your own home, the children are in a different category.
I can relate to this. My nephew who was 4 decided my fish in my small tank needed a bubble bath, so he put in some of his bubble bath in my tank. This happened so quickly, but luckily it was not my big tank. The tank just had 4 damsels in it, which I had to move to my 55 (I could not let them die). It took me a couple of months to straighten everything out. Now everyone knows not to touch the tank.
I hear you all, every kid is different, bubble bath - I guess he enjoys it and so should the fish, after all they are in water all the time. LOL
