Frogspawn "spreading" question

First I believe there are two kinds?
I have the branching kind and initially it three heads (approx 3 months ago).
It now has 4 heads with two of them look like they are splitting.

Nope, there's onyl the branching frogspawn. There are a couple different color variations but they're smiliar, green w/ pink. You will see the tissue growing from the skeleton, and a branch will work its way out where you see the tissue head.

No its not extremely uncommon, they usually requre MH to grow fast though... I have heard of people growing a new head every two months.

Once established in a mature reef, they grow very well. I frag mine a couple times a year.

A good set of power compacts is all frogspawn really need......metal halides can be too intensive sometimes and their growth rate stunted.

Mine was slow to grow under my MH, after I moved him about half way down within 2 weeks i noticed a spread. It does seem to take a while to completely spread though. He has been working at it for about 4 weeks.
