Galvanized metal in Tank??????

I had to make a makeshift rack to hold up one of my powerheads and I made it out of Galvanized steel. I know that we are not supposed to put metal in SW tanks, but will this be okay since it is galvanized or should I find another way to hang it.
Also I had to mount a rock onto another rock for it to stay there and I used a rubber band will this hurt it at all?

yeah I tried that it worked for a while this just seems like a long term solution. I wish I could just buy a new bracket, but no one just sells the bracket.

Nickel, Zinc & Tin are about the worst things you could put in your tank. The Iron isn't so bad but the rest is toxic to marine life.

Why not use acrylic (plexiglass) to make it? Safe and cheap and easy to make. I made several for my freshwater and saltwater tanks so I could get rid of the suction cups.

not ot mention copper, which sometimes is also used for rust proofing steel
galvanized steel is much worse than regular steel, JMO
