Gas company ripoff

I am so angry right now.
I was sitting on my computer, on the SWF site enjoying my conversations, and some fellow shows up at my door and fast talks for 30 minutes about saving me money on gas. Fine, I sign up and want to go inside…he says I have to talk to one of their reps to verify everything this guy just got finished yammering about for half an hour..
He gets on my phone and calls them and hands the phone to me…this lady wants a clear and definite answer of YES to everything she says. Smelled like a scam to me, so I told her just forget it.
Now I have to mail in a notice saying I cancelled. AAAHHHH Turns out they wanted me to switch my gas supplier…They want me to pay them to deliver my gas to my gas company…HUH
The guy was saying they worked for my gas company and wanted to offer me .99 per therm instead of the 1.08 I was paying and it would be guaranteed for 5 years. What he didn’t say was that I switch companies, and now pay them another portion besides what I pay my current supplier..the so called money saved is picked up by North Shore (my company) for delivering their gas…At least that is all I could make of it. My mother said she fell for it years ago with Nicor gas. She paid $20.00 per bill for the delivery. Oh and to cancel after 10 days cost another $50.00
Meanwhile my dogs are going ape in the back ground so I put them in my bedroom…while they aggravated me at the door, my puppy chewed on a 500.00 hope chest in my room, it had a pad on top, so it served as a seat at the end of my bed..the whole corner of the seat is now shredded, it is the only thing she has destroyed in the 5 months since I got her
… it’s a dark day I can feel the cloud gathering.

I live in a new neighborhood and the salesman are horrible, I literally prolly have someone ring my doorbell 1-3 times a week. And I get the good experienced salesman that don't let you get a word in or say no please leave. When I use to open the door my mom's dog that I was watching got out and got hit by a truck. Luckily nothing serious.
My solution - I open the door and say give me one second, then go to the garage and turn on the sprinkler system. Or....3 out of 4 of my dogs are trained to guard the house when I'm not home so sometimes I just tell them "badguy" and leave the big door open with the screen door shut and locked and they scare the poop out of them and they leave.

I make it easier. I don't answer the door. If I'm not expecting anyone coming over to my house, I just ignore the knocking and the doorbell. I had one of those kids selling magazines sit on my doorbell for about 10 minutes one night. I finally opened the door holding my shotgun, and said "Unless you have something REAL important to tell me, I'd suggest you leave." He just looked at me with his mouth wide open, not saying a word, spun around, and disappeared into the night.

I can't do that, my baby already bit a paramedic, so he is already known as trouble..They won't come to my door now. I have to drag my poor old grey haired mother to the curb to send her to the hospital.
Sorry to hear about your dog being hit by a car. I have my dogs on a radio wireless fence; they will not go beyond the allowed area no matter what. It is truly a life saver for those slip past you at the door dogs. My mom had a Golden retriever that did that, so I bought the fence and an extra collar for my Shepherd. My dog got into a fight with hers (two alpha males), so we found it a new home. We kept the fence and put the extra collar on my new pup after she got big enough. That fence is the best thing I ever purchased for my dogs.

yeah, my basic rule of thumb is to tell them to pound sand. We literally get hit up every day. Everything from legit companies, to white trash toothless methheads trying to paint our address on the curb. I would just ignore it, but our neighbors ring the door bell too. And well we like them.

Oh no the puppy german bit someone?
Well it was my mom's greyhound and they aren't known for their smartness lol. My 4 will not leave the front yard, they all go with me to get the mail and the neighbor kids always watch around noon when I get the mail to come see and pet them.
I guess that event made me a little bitter toward salesman so I like to mess with them a little lol.
And I don't blame salesman for trying to make a living but the way they go about it 9 times out of 10 is unacceptable.

NO, NO the puppy is sweet and gentle, but she eats furniture I just found out.
The biter is Atticus, I knew he would, and I was always so careful. My mom however apparently thought I was just over couscous, he such a sweetie to us...my sister needed an ambulance, and my mom opened the door..Atticus defended the home.

He'd scare me
LOL...BUT when I was little I was bit by a very large dog like that......one reason I am not fond of large dogs

Oh no! I have a dog similar I think, she just isn't fond of large males that she doesn't know. Girls and children she rolls over for.
I'm glad you got to keep him....around here I don't think they get a second chance.

When I was a teen I had a shepherd that bite a little girl, it made a puncture wound all the way through her little arm. Atticus likes children of that I made sure.
That’s why I am so careful, my mom now believes me, and Atticus is put away when a person comes to the door..If I feel threatened at all I hold his collar, open the door and tell them to go away as he snaps in the air like a crazy thing.
I was raised in Chicago and it is just me and my mom here. I work nights and she is home alone. She is afraid home alone at night by herself and Atticus makes her feel safe and she is…but they will have to shoot him to get to her if she needs help. I work 15 minutes away, she has to call me first. For an older lady that could be bad.

He just bruised her shoulder, she had a jacket on, thank God. But I bet she was sore the next day. He was in his own house, if he was at large it would have been a very different outcome, that’s why I like the radio fence.
Mind you this dog is very well trained, I can use signs to control him. When I hold his collar..it is a ” I am a very mean dog” act and it always works. He will however not tolerate any stranger just walking in, or getting too close to the door, he never even growled, my mom said he went airborn at the paramedic. He was in my room with me and I didn’t even know they were there..He left my side and then I heard the commotion.

LOL...A lady had a scottie dog on the day I took Tamerah (new pup) to the vet or her shots, the scottie dog was old and fat..14 pounds..Tamerah at 10 weeks old weighed 39.5 pounds. I don't know what I would do with a pooch I could put in my pocket.
Kitties are great, my mother bred Siamese cats when I was growing up, but I have an Amazon parrot, birds and cats don’t mix well. Saliva from a cat is deadly to birds or I would have one.
