its funny i help out a crew of black guys in concrete once in a while i do consider them friends now.they dont call themselves african americans they are black.i think african american is a term made up by blacks for political reasons.they do call me white boy once in a while .but we joke around with each other like that.one black dude there loves hockey so i pick on him for that.all in good fun.
as for the gay word nothing to do with happy anymore.
it just amazes me these days how sensitive with words this coutry has gotten.what is that new term for meaning non-masculine?
metro man or something like that?
started in france or europe somewhere.go figure.

What you're saying here really backs up the point that if you use the right words at the right time, it won't be offensive. Use common sense and think before you speak.

There is no country called Africa. Besides, I'm offended every time someone tells me I should call someone African American. I don't ask to be called European American, it'd be stupid. I wouldn't be offended if someone called me European American though, I'd just laugh at them for being dumb.

I wasn't thinking clearly...which is embarrassing considering the fact that I now have all of the nations of the world memorized and can recite them in under a minute(as of last week)

Actually, I don't think I've seen any from this past season. I don't have cable anymore, so I just catch the re-runs.
