Agreed. I personally feel halides or a halide/t5 combo are neccessary for anemones.

I am taking out one of the PC's and installing a 175watt MH

i would add t5 with the 175 because anemone's go were they want if you could keep him close to the top it might be ok with a real healthy well fed bta but that is only 2 watts per gallon so i wouldnt waste the money get a hood with two 175 double end halides and t5 attinicks

2 watts per gallon?!
there are 3 96 watt PC's plus the MH
do the PC's really count for nothing?
by my math that is 5 watts per gallon

sorry i didnt no you were going to keep the pc with the halide.i understand the watts per gallon i just use it as a guidline not true math.you will be contending with allot of heat and electricity with all those are you going to lose one of the pc and add the halide?that will work but how will look are they indavidual light balast cause in the first post u say 4 pc.see if you can sell them and buy a unit with everything in one easier to control not so many plugs.i have my bta under led and t5,s with 11 watts per gallon and he has allost filled my 50 gallon in one year he is loving all the light glad he is the only thing i have in my 50 a huge bta and pair of tomatoe clown and some live rock .i got him he was only 2 inches now he is over 12 in one year.he can shrink to nothing whenb going potty.i just thinl they love allot of light.gl

The Pc's are 2 ballast for the 4 bulbs so I am going to stop using one of the PC's in order to fit the MH into the hood. I would love to upgrade to T5's but there are other things I think I need more,
Anyways thanks for the help I'm hopefully gona get the MH in before the weekend
