Thinking of installing a 60g mixing container in the closet near my tank I would have to move my RO unit and build a shelf so I can do larger waterchanges. I dont like doing only 20% changes. I need more volume. it would also move the mixing container o0ff the fish tank stand which would be nice I'm tired of people asking "whats with the empty tank on the stand" that also means I would have to rehome my kegerator which is fine I can move it to the basement and run a longer line up to my tap. nothing like having beer on tap in your living room though LOL

bummer did some measuring and I cant get a 60g in the closet door, its too narrow. I do have a 45g that will fit.... going to have to look into the logistics of changing the closet around for that. I will need to get a big power head for pumping water over to my tank since siphoning is just too slow when doing large water changes. maybe I'll hard plumb it grrr not sure, was really hoping I could get the 60 in there.

I cant believe how many lights I have for reeftanks I was cleaning out my back room to get ready to put my fire wood in for winter and I found
2 icecap 660 ballasts
1 4 x 110w vho fixture
1 2x65w 24 inch pc light
1 48 innch still in the box 2x 65w pc coralife fixture
1 aquamedic 150w de halide pendant
1 48 inch 6 by 55w solarlighting PC system
1 12inch pc light
countless RO flourescent hoods ranging from 12 inch to 48 inch
1 2x 110w vho fixture
and more...........
I found a nearly unlimited supply of plumbing parts and random hardware for fresh and marine tanks a couple skimmers a sand filter goodness I have a lot of fish crap from all the years in this hobby. I cant even count the fish tanks at least 15 10gs 3 30gs a 60g a 45g a couple 20 longs and some old frag grow trays. I cant even believe how much money is just sitting in the back room collecting dust. I need to try and trade away some of this stuff.
I'll probably keep the halide pendant and one of the vho setups and try to offload the rest of the stuff. except the skimmers I'll hold onto those, never know when you'll want more skimming power.

heres what I got.
a large colony of green montipora capricornis

A colony of 7 heads of the highly toxic palythoa grandis, this one I am uber excited about I love palythoa grandis and for just 25$ for 7 heads I couldnt pass it up

A small chunk of frogspawn

and a couple other small frags that arent really photo worthy, but ones a couple small pieces of colt leather and an orange zoanthid frag with like 5 zoas but they are super bright I'll get a picture once they open.

so I am currently dissatisfied with the amount of algae still prevalent in my DT. I need more macros I think. a proper fuge. so I added a small sterilite container inside the sump on top of the bentic zone and for now threw a 25w flora sun bul;b over it and chunked some caulerpa into it I really want to get some cheato for it but dont currently have any. I had some bvut it got sucked into a powerhead and pureed. I wil be getting a 65 watt bulb and a better fixture for it soon I just need to scrape up a few $$

Sounds like a trade for a 65 watt bulb is in the trade here.

So I dug around the back room and found an old incandescent fish tank hood ripped the guts out of it and strapped the bulbs to a board that lays across the sump. now I have 2 23w spiral plant bulbs hanging over the algae. bonus.

so i have to do everything to my tank left handed now.... for a couple weeks. I cut my hand pretty bad at work requiring some stitches and cut a major vein in the back of my hand too. frikken awesome. love it. the cut not that big only a couple inches but its DEEP nevder severed a vein before talk about bleeding like a stuck pig. the thing didnt stop bleeding for two hours. crazy. the doc only put a couple stitches in and told me not to use my hand for a couple days.... yeah thats gonna happen. now I have to pretend I dont have a right hand. my fiongers dont work right cause of the bandages. this sucks.

Ouch, sorry to hear this. Be very careful of it while it's healing, and you may need to consider some light PT when the stitches come out.

OUCH!....I bet even typing is hard. You never realize how much you use something until you can't. Your right hand, that's rough...I'm so glad it wasn't more serious and you are okay.

I hate it happened to yah,... but it coulda been worse. I know working in a taxidermy shop has gotten me pretty proficient with knives, but every now and then I do slip up. Thankfully I haven't in a year or so. The last time I slipped up I stabbed my left forearm and missed my main tendon by a centimeter! I hated it happened, but ... it coulda been worse.
Glad you're feeling well enough to come on here and complain about it! lol
