My friend used to do that. The kid still does it but needless to say we aren't friends any more

I have went twice...
I vote that it is stupid.

Eeeeasy people....I'm a Scout

Yes, I have taken my Scouts geocaching before. Sometimes it's fun, if you actually find the thing. Once we were hiking up a big mountain, stopped to take a break about 3/4 up, and found one under a log by accident. It was actually quite full...money, McDonald's toys, all kinds of gadgets.

Anyone can put them out there. You just have to make it weather proof, record the exact location (gps) and put the info. up on one of the many geocaching sites so that others can go look for it. The one's I have been involved with are usally rated (easy, moderate, difficult, etc.). The difficult one's can turn out to be something the size of a film cannister hidden in the jungle...so it's "difficult" to find.

My family LOVES geocaching. It is actually a great way to spend time with your kids out in nature and away from iCarly among others
My daughter is 7 and we have been going since she was 4. She now has her own GPS and can find with the best of 'em.
