3. 10 Gallon Sump with Fuge going into it.
4. SCWD closed loop

Keep us informed. I think everyone would like to see the step by step process. It will also help out some of the new guys get ideas on how to setup their tanks!!

Alright I have started to build my new custom corner stand.
Here is a picture of my old 46 gallon tall with the old stand. Although its a nice stand, there is really no room for anything under it.
You can see in this picture that I have moved my tank out from the corner so I can start to construct the new one.

Base with 2 corner supports up.....almost done...LOLOLOL well not really. I am probally over-doing the structure design on this project.....but I really don't feel like cleaning up glass and 47 gallons of water.

Looks like you are well on your way. There really is no such thing as overdoing it as far as stands are concerned. Better safe than sorry.....and wet.

Lookin Good!!!
How did you move your 46? I am undertaking an upgrade myself and need to move a 55 with metal stand into the kitchen. It's about a 15 yard move.
Did you remove any water or just muscle the thing over those few feet?
Thanks, good luck with your project!

Well.....I have begun to build the sump and fuge. Here are a couple pictures of the process.....
1st the Fuge.... You can see the intake area that is in the corner. This will be were the water enters via 1" pipe. It will be from the overflow going into the sump and controlled by a ball valve. This fuge will have a bulkhead drilled into it and will set slightly above the sump with the flow dumping into the sump return.

Here is a picture of the sump design.....I had to redesign my whole setup due to some size issues, and placement. It will enter on the right hand side, flow to the back left, which is the skimmer chamber, then over to the return side which is front left.

The acrylic is just glued in with some Aquarium Silicone. Others have said that the stuff don't work, but I have never had a problem with anything ever coming loose.

Got the overflow box almost done. I filled it with water before I drilled the bulkhead hole and let it set for 3 days. Had NO LEAKS...Yippy...Something actually worked for once. I now am fixing the bend that I placed in the top, and then will weld in the partition in the middle.
