it may sound stupid to some people but nuke em with aiptasia x or kalk paste just do a small amount at a time and stay on top of water changes and skimming.
its impossible to get rid of it once it spreads. i hv so many in my tank, that every time i do water change, i'd pull as much out as possible. even a little bit of tissue left behind will grow into a new xenia within days. ask if ur lfs wants them. my lfs would give me credit for every little bit i brought in.
I started with 3 small stalks, have 80? and threw out 40 or so... just tons of it everywhere.
To frag it I just put rubble by it or on top of it, xenia will grow up and on, then remove your piece. My biggest problem with xenia is I have a ton to get rid of.
i had just one stalk of it on a small rock at the bottom of my tank, my mistake. now it's grown up on a huge rock that i wanted to be zoos. i can't lower the sg because i have other corals in the tank as well. i'm just beating my head against a wall with this stuff.

How long have you had your xenia? Don't worry... after awhile it just goes *poof* here I am.
I'm not sure it's xenia I want to poof into here
In my 225g I have had it a couple of months...it has grown some..just not spread
In the 54g I have actually lost a couple of pieces...It came with the tank so I do not know how long it was in there for...It spread to like 3 spots..now I have one spot
Not totally a bad thing then.... If I could keep xenia where I wanted I'd be happier with it as I've made more of a move to sps -- but still like xenia although not quite as much as I did at first.
You could always get a lemonpeel angel to mow it down lol. I agree with CRABBYCHRIS, just nuke it with joes juice if it's taking over. You can frag it all away, but it will come back.
