I would say hold off the dating for now... going out to do things is cool but to lable a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship can be trouble later.... 1st how is your walk with God? are you a christain young man?

I do agree that bowling is a fun thing to do.

I'm very shy as well. I'm working on that. I hate it. I feel that I have no control over it either.

I was chatting with her a second ago and I found out that she likes this other guy in my grade.

But I'm cool with it. Just got that song Love Stinks stuck in my head.

I think I'll still follow through with going bowling though. I'm actually considering inviting the kid that I know she likes, because if I can't make her happy, I might as well help him to.

Honestly, unless you dont like being alone, you have SOOOO many years ahead of you to date girls. Why settle for less? Why not wait for that one really good true friend that knocks your socks off and then go from there. It will prevent heart ach and situations like this in the near future.

Well I found out from her today that she no longer likes this kid, but she used to. So this is great. Don't you just LOVE high school drama? Anyway, I'm probably not going to sit there and hit on her. I plan to just play it by year and have some fun. We are inviting like 6 people so far, so it HAS to be fun, right?
Anyway, I don't really care, I'm just going to have fun.

From about here on out, every girl you meet, that you like, probably are going to already have a boyfriend, or like someone else. There's a reason, "all the good ones are taken." It's all about, to be blunt, marketing yourself. If your a generally shy guy, chances are she just doesn't really know much about you. Don't sit here and hit on her, that's just annoying, but let her know your interesting.
