I am going to praise Ford as well.
My X husband e-mailed me. He had taken our Ford Focus when we split. He didn't make any car payments since last Oct.
He needs to renew the tags and get the title switched. He called Ford and they told him he could just start making the payments on time from today on. He found himself a job down in Alabama. They will just let the late payments ride and let him finish paying off the loan and he can keep the car.
They could have repossessed it, but they let him just keep it and make the payments like nothing ever went bad with the loan.
They didn't get help from the Government...they just still have faith in the people they sold to. Folks fell on hard times, they are willing to work with them for whatever reason. Good business Ford!

NO, The fact that they took NO money for a bailout #1
AND now, instead of laying off, and closing a truck plant in Michigan, they are retooling to make more economical compact cars, and to build battery op cars....

Love my EXPEDITION EX.. Best vehicle I have ever owned.. would not trade it in for anything! Large vehicle make up for my shortcomings...he he he lol

Have you seen the new mustangs coming out? They made some slight changes to the body. I'm not to happy with the new design on the trucks though. I'm glad I bought mine when I did.

Yeah, I saw them...Mine is the model that came out in 2005...I really liked that....I am hoping to keep this one for a while, pay it off, and see what it feels like to have a "paid off" car

I too like that Ford hasn't, at this point, taken a gov. bailout and thay may not have to if things work out for them. They seem to have a great mix of new cars coming out and man I would love to get my hands on one of those Taurus SHO cars! More power than the old Yamaha built V8 in the previous gen. SHO and with a 6 speed auto to boot!
I bought a 2009 F150 this year, special ordered XL w/the 4.6 3V and 6 speed auto and man, does that truck drive Sweeeet! The smoothest shifting and driving truck i have ever had.
Gm does have some great cars and trucks, but Ford seems to have the edge on them for now.
