socal - Very true. I grew up with TV, but I still got mostly all A's. I guess it just depends on the student? If I didn't watch so much TV when I was growing up, I would probably have done much better though. I listen to the old country and new country music most of the time. I can't get into the jibberish pop songs and rap songs on air. I listen to talk radio too sometimes. For the past three or four years, I haven't really been in the mood to listen to music. Only thing I play at home is some Johnny Cash and Bob Marley. lol. Hopefully all my kids will be like your youngest daughter. She sounds like a good student.
I grew up with it, too. I know I would have done better without them. I could ace tests, but refused to do homework. Pulling me from in front of the tv was like World War III.
