Maybe not leaving enough to the imagination is actually a turn off in large groups. Especially when grandpa Joe drops his glasses.

There has got to be some unspoken code that you probably find out the hard way. Wouldn't you hate being the new guy/girl to that club. You know there has to be some people there just out of perversion.

actually, there are some pretty strict rules regarding who gets in and "unauthorized photography". to be honest, as Renee mentioned, it's just a bunch of normal peeps from pretty much all walks of life who enjoy "nekkid-idity". there's really no difference, to be honest. these peeps DO come up with some creative hallowe'en costumes and new year's eve outfits. one year, a bunch of guys got up and did a 'full monty' dance that was hilarious...i was LOL so hard, i could barely play.
one thing i can say is that these folks are up and dancing from the first tune and stay till the end. they're really one of the best audiences i've ever played for. we even wrote a tune about the place called "Dancin' N.aked In The Sun", which has become the ballad of Glen Eden.
i CAN say that the very first time i was there, i got a shudder when i saw n.aked groundskeepers up in a tree with big ol' shears and loppers! no frickin' way!

Last night was AWESOME! Greg played in what called a Big Band last night and OMG was it sexyful! The Jazz singer gave me goose bumps.
I felt very proud to see him just sit down and read music that's he's never seen before. These band members are some of the best in the field. Although he's trained and has taught music, it hasn't been his Gig for many years. He's the one with the wireless mike that jumps around the crowd.
But it was indeed a fantastic night with family and friends.
Can you tell I'm very happy today :) It feels good.

i was just wondering if the wrong "branch" ever got trimmed off...

as for Renee being proud, i was simply holding on for dear life! funny...i could have SWORN i knew how to count to four when i walked into that club...

It was nice to get to play some baritone sax for a change. It's really my fave horn, and I rarely get to play it these days. It's also fun to run into musicians i haven't worked with in years.
Mark does have an excellent band tho...there are players from the Count Basie Orchestra, Maynard Ferguson's Big Bop Nouveau, The Louie Bellson Big Band, The Chick Corea Band, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and the Disneyland Band, just to name a few.

Well, I guess Renee is gonna be bored again Saturday night. I have a Hallowe'en gig at the nudie camp. The members there can get QUITE creative with their costumes, to say the least.
I guess I'll be horse on Sunday AM, as I haven't been singing lately...

Greg there is a rumor going around that you were asked to play the accordion nude, great guy that you are. And ummm how can I say this, in attempting to cover yourself with the instrument you did some self-inflicted harm

I knew a guy who played accordion, but couldn't sell it, so he left the top down on his car with the instrument on the seat, hoping it would be stolen and he could collect insurance on it. When he returned to the car, he found TWO accordions...

Actually, we have to play clothed, altho once a couple of the girls came on stage and "pantsed" our guitarist...it's tuff to pull up your "chones" while your strumming!

One year, just about everyone did very elaborate body paintings, but the last couple of years has been anything goes, so to speak.
You shoulda seen the New Year's gig where a bunch of guys in break-away tuxedos did the "full monty"...it was pretty funny. It's tuff to play sax when you're LYAO.
