I knew someone that had this issue. It turned out to be a slight defect in the heart. Not a big deal as long they didn't overexert themselves. Even then, it was just a matter of knowing their limits and realizing that it could get them a visit with the doc to "reset" their heartbeat. IIRC, it even corrected itself on some occasions.
I know how it feels to get the news that there is no cancer. You must be very relieved.

For those of you keeping score I started wearing my event monitor yesterday, what a pain in the ass. Only 29 more days until I can send the thing back. On a high note the cardiologist just called results of my nuclear stress test are all negative.

I was quite relieved to read the news of the test results; I had asked those in the know how you were doing before the results were posted.
Had no idea that was where one wears event monitors....ouch!

Will that news get you through a TSA checkpoint without a pat down?

Thanks for all the support people; it seems that after I woke up from the prostate biopsy my heart went into arterial fibrillation (Rapid crazy rhythm). I was sent for some blood work, it came back negative for thyroid problems which could have been a cause. Also neg for a heart attack. I also had an echo cardiogram. Also neg. I was put on a Bata blocker to slow my heart down and an aspirin a day to thin my blood. The cardiologist preformed an EKG and my heart rhythm was back to normal. I am going to have a nuclear stress test next week. The week after that he wants me to wear an event monitor for a month to see if we can track down what triggers the Afib
FYI arterial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm problem one can have, so I am not that special
Welcome to my world... except my thyroid is indeed suspect in my case. I felt awful when I started the Beta Blockers, but over time it got better.
The event monitor was a pain in the butt. One time I went to the pharmacy and left the unit out in the car. I started beeping at the counter. Then people started looking at me and there was all of these wires hanging out under my clothes. I swear everyone look a step back and their eyes got big. I'm like "It's a monitor.... I swear!!!".
You're gonna get itchy around those leads. I felt so claustrophobic with the lanyard option.

Well, I'm glad to hear that the tests so far are coming back with good results. You're still in my thoughts Joe!
