So it looks like Ohio wants to allow people to take their guns into places that serve alcohol now! Sounds like a great idea to me! Emotions, alcohol, and firearms! Nothing could go wrong there!
Good news Ohio, soon we'll be able to have our guns in our bars!

We've had that for almost 2 years here, still no murders in bars like all the hand-wringing girly-men said. Why do so many people always look at this bass-ackwards? If I am a criminal/unstable idiot, do you think I am not going to bring a gun into a bar because it's illegal? Now, per say, I am a criminal and I take a gun into a bar, am I more or less likely to pull and use my gun knowing there are people there who are armed and can kill me before I can complete my criminal act?

We had two gun killings at the same bar in about a 2 month timespan down here. What does it have to do with criminals or non-criminals? You get someone boozed up, gets into a fight with a friend or other patron, and anything can happen whether the person has a concealed weapon license or not.

So that would mean they are criminals and that law-abiding citizens would stop the criminals. All any prohibition on guns does is guarantee unarmed and helpless victims. Look up how much home invasions, rape and murder have sky-rocketed in Australia and England since their stupid gun bans. The news media, there and here will not cover it and the governments there try to cover it up. Everywhere gun laws have been liberalized in the U.S., all violent crime has dropped in that state. Your fellow citizens are better than you think and the criminals are much worse than you think. I happen to believe we Americans are smarter and better than liberals give us credit for and criminals are much more than unfortunate victims of circumstance than liberals think. It is that simple.

Personally, and this is just me, but while we are talking about dangerous things, I think you should be worried about democrats in political office, they've killed far more people with their misguided political believes then any drunk Plaxico's have ever have...

Yes on membership-though I haven't renewed it this year. No on the handbook. But even if it was, I'm proud to be guilty as charged. Imagine, a group defending the Constitution-it's unAmerican!

Laws like this are funny and unenforceable unless there are pat downs or metal detectors at bars. I know people are already taken them in and most probably don't have a conceal license. I say uneforceable because its like the new smoking law being proposed in CA where you can't smoke in your car if you have a kid under 14 years old. How do you enforce something like that?

Not a bad idea really. More guns in bars might equte to more drunken fools shooting themselves ie. Plaxico Buress....this keeps these drunken fools off the roads and prevents them from killing sober people.
Only people concerned about this are non gun owning liberals that like to hang out in bars nd get sloppy drunk.
