Doesn’t make any difference, with the flow off from float switch the pressure builds up. The RO is not intended to leave on for two months that was the real problem. You can glue the float switch in place with aquarium silicone when you attach it to the sump, both ends failed at different points it is exponentially dangerous. I had to replace the fittings with something more robust intended for a water line for an ice maker on your refrigerator. I seemed to have less drama when I lowed faucet pressure, I'm not making this up, just describing my experiences.
