I am heading over to lowes quickly before they close, I need corner braces for the doors and sanding paper. I will complete the doors and then start the staining process.
Last night I was at lowes and they had sand that had a small tear in two of the bags, $1 a piece!!!
I have some live sand to seed the recommended sand you can get from lowes with.
I ended up getting a protein skimmer with the tank, it is a large berlin, I will try it and see how it does before pujrchasing another one!

Quickcrete tropical play sand. Just under $4 a bag. There was a post on this site saying that is a good & safe choice . The post also said that they get their sand straight from the beach. I was pricing sand at LFS and such and accidently stumbled across that post!!!

From the MSDS on Quikcrete's web site
"Ecotoxicity: Crystalline silica (quartz) is not known to be ecotoxic; i.e., there are no data that suggests that crystalline silica (quartz) is toxic to birds, fish, invertebrates, microorganisms or plants"
This is good to know for the future, thanx
